Welcome Officer Garcia!
WE ARE FAMILY!
It was a family affair on the day our newest officer was sworn in by Chief Harrison. Please help us welcome Officer Katrina Garcia!
Officer Garcia was born and raised right here in the State of Texas. She began her Law Enforcement Career in 2015 as a 911 call taker for the City of Lubbock. While working there, Officer Garcia developed her passion to strive for more. In 2018, she began working for Denton County Sheriff’s Office as a detention officer. During her time there, Officer Garcia was promoted to Corporal. This didn’t seem to fulfill that “wanting more” feeling.
In 2022 she made the move to Little Elm. She continued to work as a detention officer before taking the next big bite and starting the Basic Peace Office Course at Collin College Law Enforcement Academy. She completed the academy and graduated on April 13th and we are so proud of her! 🥹
Some of her career goals are to become an FTO, become a detective, fly high #nolie as a Drone Operator, and use her talking skills by becoming a Hostage Negotiator. Fun fact! Officer Garcia is the first female to become a police officer from both sides of her family. #YouGoGirl
When she’s not at work, going through field training, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Welcome, Officer Garcia! #YouDidIt
