WELCOME | Officer Joseph Santos
Last week, Chief Harrison administered the Oath of Office to several new officers. Last but certainly not least, please help us welcome Officer Joseph Santos.
Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Officer Santos began his extensive law enforcement career in 2000 👀 #twentythreeyearsago. But, let’s take it back even farther. Officer Santos served five years in the Marine Corps with two overseas deployments.
In 2000, Officer Santos became a deputy with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office in the state of Arizona. During his tenure there, he was on the SWAT Team, worked CID as a child sex crimes & domestic violence investigator, and the lead advisor for the explorer program.
Officer Santos left Yuma for the US Department of State in Iraq to serve as a Senior Law Enforcement Advisor conducting counterterrorism/counter insurgency operations.
Officer Santos lateraled over to the Great State of Texas and joined the Dallas College Police Department. During his time there, he was a Threat Investigator & Emergency Management Coordinator.

Officer Santos worked briefly with the Aubrey and Pilot Point Police Departments until finding his forever home with us!
Officer Santos is a graduate of the US Department of Justice Intelligence Commander’s Course, a certified classroom instructor, FTO, SRO, Active Shooter instructor, and US Department of Justice International Instructor. He also owns his own Security Consulting Firm.
When Officer Santos is not working or attending specialized training, he enjoys firearms training, eating steaks #meadiumrare, watching comedies and spending time with his family and watching the Raiders lose, we mean play 😁
